Journal to feel calm and in control

On Wednesday we had a quiet time put aside to answer the following questions and I would challenge you to do the same!

It is actually very theraputic to write down your thoughts, to get your worries out of your mind and be able to see clearly what you need to do and in what order. I have enjoyed journalling since I was about 12 when I used to write in a diary. As a teenager it became a huge help to write about the good the bad and the ugly of my day! It was a release and a relief to get it out from inside my head, especially when I didn't always want to share it with anyone else.

I appreciate not everyone enjoys writing but this doesn't have to be much, this is just to get you more prepared, more focussed and willing to get what you want and maybe need to do anyway, without the stress of it hanging over your head. Know what you need to do and then if it is overwhelming you, break it up into smaller chunks and plan to do a little bit each day. It might be that you actually need time out for you, so block time out in your diary for you time.

I know I have mentioned Christmas in September and sorry about that!! The reason I have done this is because a lot of events that you need tickets for are available now and they sell out fast or at least the cheaper tickets do!! Each year I get to December and realise I haven't booked anything so this is one for me and those of you who also have felt the same.

This year we will go to a pantomime, we will go ice skating, go and see the lights in London and find a good winter wonderland. When they aren't so tiny they don't get by on pure joy and excitement that the elf has visited and Christmas is getting closer. They are excited but they would like to do a few more days out than before.

Enjoy putting some time aside and writing as much or as little as you want to get the best out of the last few months in 2024 x
